Our story
Golden Bees Honey began in 2022 with a single hive and a simple curiosity about beekeeping. What started as a desire to learn more about how bees live and work quickly became a deep respect for their role in the landscape and the rhythm of the seasons.
From that first colony, we gradually expanded into a small, family-run apiary managing hives across Essex and Kent. Every step of the journey has been hands-on — from caring for the bees and monitoring forage, to harvesting, extracting, and jarring each batch ourselves.
We don’t import or blend honey. Each harvest comes only from our own hives and reflects the flowers available to the bees at that moment in the season. Spring yields are light and delicate, summer brings deeper wildflower notes, and no two batches are ever exactly the same.
Our honey is extracted gently, never heat-treated, and left just as the bees made it. This keeps the natural character, aroma, and variation that define real, local honey.
Golden Bees Honey remains intentionally small in scale. By working this way, we can focus on careful beekeeping, healthy colonies, and producing raw honey that is traceable to the places our bees forage.
It’s not mass-produced. It’s seasonal, local, and shaped by nature — just as honey should be.
